About Us

Founded in 1992, Roses for Africa is a family-owned and operated plant nursery and garden centre specializing in the cultivation and distribution of superior quality roses in South Africa. As a hobby turned business, we have a passion for horticulture and a commitment to providing our customers with honest, personable service. We are based in the North Coast of KZN and courier nationwide.

Our extensive range of roses include the traditional favourites such as White Iceberg, Mr Lincoln, Papa Meiland, Burning Sky, new and unique varieties, as well as heirloom varieties that have been passed down for generations. Alongside roses, we stock a growing variety of other plants and gardening items. These include orchids, shrubs, fruit trees, vegetable seedlings, herbs, palms, aloes, cacti, ground covers, compost, pots, pesticides, plant feed, and much more.

We cater to all types of gardens and gardeners, from first-timers to green thumbs and professional landscapers. Our customers appreciate our hands-on, down-to-earth approach and the fact that we are readily available to chat with and advise them. We are grateful for our knowledge and experience gained over the last 30 years, and are happy to share it with our customers who we hope to treat like family. Throughout the year our calendar at Roses for Africa is sprinkled with events and workshops to allow our customers and community to learn practical gardening skills in a relaxed environment.
